That effect looks SO GOOD. Why/how can that be that good?

Also, while we’re on the subject of Superman, I haven’t watched any of the newer DC Superman stuff. The new Superman writing for these movies… it’s not Superman.

Superman stops to help a child get their cat out of a tree. He does the little things, and he’s a nice guy. He doesn’t have a space god complex / is an unfeeling character.

One of my favorite battles! But that’s Darkseid, which was part of the cool monologue Supes is laying down in this scene. He talks about how he normally lives in a “world made of cardboard”, but since Darkseid is a god, he can take whatever Superman can dish out.
