Where are the preferences in Gajim?

I’m generally quite pleased with the new version of Gajim and Fedora 30, but something strange has happened to Gajim or me: I can’t find the preferences. Am I tripping?

Gajim 1.1.3
GTK+ Version: 3.24.8
PyGObject Version: 3.32.1
python-nbxmpp Version: 0.6.10

I think gajim optionally uses gconf depending on how the distro packaged it. So if their not hiding in any of the usual home folder dot-folder locations you may need to go hunting in the gconf-editor.

Gnome 3.x is mostly on dconf these days, so you MIGHT have to install a gconf-editor. Not sure about Fedora’s default setup there.

I made a task to figure this out, starting with those locations and apps.

Okay, my issue is kind of a non-issue, but shows a different, weird issue.

First of all, ctrl+p opens preferences in Gajim. But I noticed something really strange. Here’s my menu normally:

Now here’s the menu with preferences open:

So… for whatever reason my default menu just doesn’t show the Preferences menu item. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I don’t have an issue with that, per se. So I’m closing this. Hope it’s useful to someone else.

OH I thought you were looking for where they were ON the hard disk. HUNH.

Gajim isn’t optimizied for Gnome 3’s title bar right? Might wanna file a bug with your distro.
