Continuing the discussion from Free Gamer - Open Source Games (Free/Libre): 10 Best Open Source RPGs (Role-Playing Games):

I downloaded the game, ~170MB. I’m not adverse to building software, but here is part of the README:

   The  DNT  compilation and execution needs some software and 
hardware. They are:

   Software:
      Cal3D     - http://home.gna.org/cal3d/
      OpenAL    - www.openal.org
      OpenGL    
      SDL       - www.libsdl.org
      SDL_image - www.libsdl.org/projects/SDL_image/
      SDL_ttf   - www.libsdl.org/projects/SDL_ttf/
      LibVorbis - http://www.vorbis.com/

   
   Hardware:
      Video  Card  with  3D  aceleration, OpenGL  compatible.

And http://home.gna.org/cal3d/ is 404’d. Last updated in 2016, so I can’t guess how much of a hole that is, and that means a pass.

So far “open source RPGs” are coming up a bust. :grimacing:
