i am strange today. having a lot of trouble getting myself together. it’s a strange combintation of anxiety and believing things will work out, which sound like opposites, but it’s how i feel. maybe it’s “i believe things will be okay if i can iust do x, y, and z really hard things” and that’s why there’s anxiety.
Quite rainy during my pickup of Atlas from school. But we survived, and my old trusty orange umbrella from Germany is still mostly functional.
That reminds me of a cultural thing in Portland, OR. No one uses umbrellas there. It rains like mad, but everyone stands out in it, sometimes in jackets, sometimes just getting completely soaked. If you use an umbrella, you’ll get looks. It’s a tell that someone isn’t a local.
