I’m trying to form thoughts around the concepts of popularity and reputation.
Basically, they are fucking everything up, but I don’t know what is deeper, those systems get complex quick.
Popularity is an enemy to decision-making because it makes a person think their ability to sort a list gives them qualified information.
Reputation is an enemy to decision-making because it protects the model of popularity for it’s own sake.
Popularity and reputation ruin group efforts.
